I have to admit, I’m not a big fan of blogs. However, there have been a couple of situations when I have found myself waiting for the next piece of news; a dear friend’s fight with cancer, which finally led him home, or the tragic accident of a young man who daily struggles to relearn things that used to come so easy to him. I guess blogs do have there place in the world after all.
So here I sit at a computer because there is no better way I know of to share this information with friends and family who desire to walk this journey with us. So, read on if you wish, or just browse the pictures. More than anything we ask for your prayers.
Here I go...
Just when we had finally decided that adoption might not be in our future, God is giving us a daughter, Rosa Maria Cecilia Poulterer (whom we will call Cecilia or Lia). The road we have walked has been long and arduous. There have been times when we were sure the door was closed.
As recently as November we had decided, once again, to pull the plug. Before calling our agency, we took one last look at the new monthly list of children with special needs and there she was: our second daughter.
